About The Position

The Patient Access Representative registers hospital admissions and outpatient services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Federal and State regulations. The role collects required patient information, verifies insurance, and participates in collecting deductibles and co-pays. The representative works closely with hospital, clinic, and revenue cycle personnel. General reception duties include answering a multi-line telephone and greeting and directing patients and visitors to hospital departments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current computer experience in Microsoft products.
• Previous cash-handling experience.

• Experience in healthcare registration.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general medical terminology.
