About The Position

The Patient Access Representative performs pre-registration and registration tasks for inpatients and outpatients efficiently, accurately, and professionally, helping ensure the needs of patients, physicians, and the hospital are met.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years of previous work-related experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with staff, patients or guarantors, insurance companies, physicians, and others.
• Ability to follow directions, comprehend complex issues, work independently, and exercise independent judgment when needed.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Previous medical billing, registration, and collection experience.
• Bilingual ability.
