About The Position

We are seeking a Patient Registration Representative who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys working with people. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, confident, sociable, and a strong team player who wants to develop new skills and grow professionally. In this position, you will work closely with patients and a variety of healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, administrative staff, EMTs, ambulance personnel, and firefighters. The department is busy and constantly moving, so strong communication, customer service, and the ability to transition quickly between patients and tasks are essential.

Responsibilities

Register patients accurately and efficiently
Verify insurance coverage and collect insurance information
Collect co-pays and assist with self-pay accounts
Audit patient accounts for accuracy and missing information
Navigate different registration processes based on insurance status and out-of-state coverage
Run reports and review account information
Utilize job aids and SharePoint resources for procedures and guidance
Communicate professionally with patients, clinical staff, and other departments
Maintain accuracy and professionalism in a repetitive, high-volume environment
