Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), post-secondary education or (1) one year work experience.
• Six months prior clerical or customer service experience, preferably in a hospital or medical office.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year prior experience in admissions or related field.
• Prior healthcare experience and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and strong customer service skills.
• Working knowledge and ability to perform accurately and efficiently on computer.
• Basic knowledge of insurance billing and collection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plays a critical role in ensuring an accurate registration process for all patients undergoing Cardiovascular testing and procedures.
• Responsible for verifying and updating patient demographics, confirming insurance eligibility and benefits, and ensuring CPT codes are correct and aligned with scheduled services.
• The registrar collaborates closely with clinical staff, scheduling, pre-registration, and billing departments to ensure accuracy in patient records and promote a positive patient experience.
• Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient confidentiality are essential in this role.
