About The Position

Registers patients accurately and efficiently. Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces. Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas. Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters. Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.). Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO. Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members. Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms. Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements

• Accurate and efficient patient registration
• Proficiency in multiple systems and interfaces
• Ability to be cross-trained in multiple patient access areas
• Excellent customer service skills for in-person and phone interactions
• Understanding of State and Federal regulations (EMTALA, AHCA, JCAHO)
• Ability to articulate compliance documentation
• Ensures completion of required patient consent forms
• Adherence to HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy
