About The Position

Southcoast Health is seeking a Patient Access Rep-Rehab to provide office support and coordinate patient care processes for the Rehabilitation Services department. Under the general supervision of the Team Leader, Rehab Operations, the role performs these duties in accordance with established department policies and procedures. The position is located at Surgery in Swansea, Massachusetts, and is scheduled for 24 hours per week on a day shift: Monday and Wednesday, 2:15 p.m.–6:30 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 1:00 p.m.–6:30 p.m.; and Friday, 12:00 p.m.–4:30 p.m. Pay is determined by experience and ranges from $18.04 to $29.05 per hour.

Requirements

Education equivalent to completion of four years of high school, plus specialized courses or training, secretarial school, a diploma, or medical office certification.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Proficient keyboarding skills.
Strong reasoning and critical-thinking skills.
Proficiency with email, Word, Excel, and EHR software applications.
Exceptional customer service skills.
More than three years of related medical office work experience.
CPR certification.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or qualify for a medical or personal exemption by signing a statement certifying the choice to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Associate degree preferred.
