About The Position

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, located onsite at a local medical office in Naperville. The Patient Access Conversion Specialist is responsible for managing patient check-in, scheduling, and ensuring a positive patient experience. This role involves significant patient interaction, administrative tasks within the Electronic Health Record (EPIC), and monitoring daily schedules and reports.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years of patient/client-facing experience
  • Demonstrates excellence in customer service and satisfaction levels for internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrates personal integrity, honesty, sincerity. Trusted to do the right thing.
  • Performs core responsibilities of position efficiently and effectively within parameters of organization policies, procedures and external governmental agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledges and welcomes patients and visitors, setting the tone for a positive experience.
  • Checks in and schedules appointments, following specific protocols.
  • Answers heavy call volumes to fulfill patient needs over the phone.
  • Verifies patient information and documents it in the Electronic Health Record (EPIC).
  • Performs all other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
  • Reviews schedules and pre-screens patients based on departmental protocol.
  • Monitors schedules daily, ensuring that all open slots are filled on the same day.
  • Monitors patient scheduling reports daily.
  • Reviews the Daily Appointment Report and prepares charts as appropriate.
