About The Position

This role is for a Full-Time Patient Access Conversion Specialist working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, onsite at a local medical office in Hinsdale. The position involves managing patient check-in, scheduling, handling high call volumes, verifying patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EPIC), and preparing for exams by reviewing schedules and reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Three years of patient/client-facing experience
• Customer Focus: Demonstrates excellence in customer service and satisfaction levels for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Check-in/Greeting Patients/ Patient Scheduling
• Acknowledges and welcomes patients and visitors.
• Sets the tone for a positive experience
• Check in and schedules appointments, following sleep scheduling protocol
• Answers heavy call volumes to fulfill patient needs over the phone
• Verifies patient information, while documenting in their Electronic Health Record (EPIC)
• Performs all other duties/responsibilities as assigned
• Reviewing schedule
• Pre-screen patients based on departmental protocol
• Monitor schedules daily, ensuring that all open slots are filled on the same day.
• Daily monitoring of patient scheduling reports
• Exam Preparation
• Review the Daily Appointment Report and prepare charts as appropriate.
