About The Position

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, located onsite at a local medical office in Glen Ellyn. The Patient Access Conversion Specialist is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing heavy call volumes, verifying patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EPIC), and preparing charts. The role also involves monitoring schedules and patient scheduling reports to ensure all open slots are filled.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years of patient/client-facing experience

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledges and welcomes patients and visitors.
  • Sets the tone for a positive experience.
  • Check in and schedules appointments, following sleep scheduling protocol.
  • Answers heavy call volumes to fulfill patient needs over the phone.
  • Verifies patient information, while documenting in their Electronic Health Record (EPIC).
  • Performs all other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
  • Reviewing schedule.
  • Pre-screen patients based on departmental protocol.
  • Monitor schedules daily, ensuring that all open slots are filled on the same day.
  • Daily monitoring of patient scheduling reports.
  • Review the Daily Appointment Report and prepare charts as appropriate.
