About The Position

The Pathways Operations Manager is responsible for all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives for a Fulfillment Center. This role involves managing and leading a team of Area Managers, coaching them to meet performance objectives, and building positive employee relations and leadership bench strength. The position utilizes Lean and Six Sigma Process Improvement methodologies and performance metrics to increase efficiency. The manager drives the creation of quality, process change, and other Lean initiatives to help the functional area and Fulfillment Center exceed business goals. Key responsibilities include overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of Inbound or Outbound operations, participating in the full staffing lifecycle (interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, terminations), setting and clarifying expectations for Area Managers, measuring performance, providing feedback, and holding them accountable. The role also involves leveraging Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas for improvement plans and ensuring best practices are shared across departments, shifts, and the network.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance or a related field and three years of experience in management consulting, technical management, logistics engineering, or a related occupation.
  • OR Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance or related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and three years of experience.
  • Three years of experience in salaried workforce or program management experience in a global supply chain, manufacturing, production or procurement, distribution, logistics, or related environment or operations.
  • Three years of experience using lean process improvement, six sigma methodologies, or related performance metrics or process improvements to increase efficiency within processes, forecasting, planning, optimization, and logistics.
  • Three years of experience in cross-functional coordination across different business units and experience conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis to support business decision making and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Area Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments.
  • Leverage Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area.
  • Ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and among the network.
