About The Position

The Division of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s is recruiting a full-time faculty member to support its growing clinical needs. The role provides patient care, teaches trainees, contributes to clinical service and scholarly activities, participates in digital pathology initiatives, and supports divisional and departmental education. The division provides diagnostic services for pediatric patients, including biopsies, surgical specimens, body fluids, and autopsies. The team includes board-certified pediatric pathologists, laboratory scientists, and support staff. The division handles complex pediatric, perinatal, and fetal pathology cases and transitioned to a digital pathology workflow in late 2025.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or equivalent degree.
Unrestricted physician license.
Approval or credentialing from the CCHMC Medical Staff Services Division.
Completion of all required pre-employment activities.
Assistant Professor appointment or eligibility.
Prior clinical practice experience.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care appropriate to the level of advancement and clinical specialty.
Teach fellows, rotating residents, medical students, and observers through case-based learning and clinical experiences.
Contribute to clinical service and develop local and regional recognition among peers and patients as an authority in the field.
Participate in divisional digital pathology initiatives.
Participate in divisional and departmental educational activities, continuing education, literature review, and seminars.
Maintain proficiency in departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
Participate in scholarly activities, including publication of clinical investigations, observations, reviews, chapters, or books.
