Pathologist - AI Research Participants - United States (Remote)
About The Position
Prolific is inviting US-based physicians with pathology experience to join its Expert Network for paid research and AI-related tasks. Applicants must be registered physicians with a current US medical license and provide a National Provider Identifier (NPI) for verification. Eligible applicants may be invited to a dedicated Prolific workspace and, after credential verification, may be invited to complete training or a qualification assessment. Those who meet project requirements and pass the assessment may be invited to participate in available tasks. This is a remote, freelance, task-based research participation opportunity—not clinical employment or a salaried physician position. There are no guaranteed hours, task volume, or ongoing work. The indicative rate is US$130 per hour for invited paid screening, with project task rates starting at US$216 per hour; actual invitations, project access, availability, and confirmed pay are subject to eligibility and project requirements. Participants can review each task's details, estimated time, and confirmed pay before choosing whether to participate. Applying does not guarantee an assessment invitation, acceptance, or paid work. Participants contribute pathology expertise to research and AI-related tasks, follow task instructions and confidentiality requirements, and must not include patient information in applications or task submissions. Access to a computer, reliable internet, and the ability to follow detailed online instructions are required. Prolific connects researchers and companies with participants to collect human behavioral data and feedback for AI development.
Requirements
- Currently reside in the United States.
- Be a registered physician with a current US medical license and experience in pathology.
- Be willing to provide an NPI and complete medical-credential verification during onboarding; physician and license eligibility must also be verified.
- Be willing to complete required training or a qualification assessment after verification.
- Have access to a computer and reliable internet connection, and be able to follow detailed online instructions.
Responsibilities
- Complete expert registration and medical-credential verification through Prolific’s onboarding process.
- Complete an assessment if invited to establish suitability for the project.
- If qualified and selected, apply pathology experience to paid research and AI-related tasks as they become available.
- Follow the instructions and confidentiality requirements provided for each task.
