Rheumatologist - AI Research Participants - United States (Remote)
About The Position
Prolific is seeking US-based physicians, including rheumatologists and physicians from any medical specialty, to join its Expert Network for paid research and AI-related tasks. This is a remote, freelance, task-based research participation opportunity—not clinical employment or a salaried physician position. There are no guaranteed hours, task volume, or ongoing work. Eligible applicants may be invited to a dedicated Prolific workspace. After medical credentials are verified, applicants may be invited to complete training or a qualification assessment. Those who meet project requirements and pass the assessment may be invited to take part in available tasks. Participants can review each task’s details, estimated time, and confirmed pay before deciding whether to participate. Applying does not guarantee an assessment invitation, acceptance, or paid work. The indicative rate for invited paid screening is US$130 per hour; project task rates start at US$216 per hour, subject to task-specific confirmation. These are task-based rates and do not guarantee earnings. Prolific connects researchers and companies with participants to collect human behavioral data and feedback for research and AI development. Applicants must not include patient information in applications or task submissions.
Requirements
- Currently reside in the United States.
- Be a registered physician with a current US medical license; physicians from any medical specialty may apply.
- Be willing to provide an NPI and complete medical-credential verification during onboarding. An NPI alone does not establish physician or license eligibility.
- Be willing to complete required training or a qualification assessment after verification.
- Have access to a computer and reliable internet connection, and be able to follow detailed online instructions.
Responsibilities
- Complete expert registration and medical-credential verification through Prolific’s onboarding process.
- Complete an assessment if invited to establish suitability for the project.
- If qualified and selected, apply medical expertise to paid research and AI-related tasks as they become available.
- Follow the instructions and confidentiality requirements provided for each task.
