Pediatrician - AI Research Participants - United States (Remote)
About The Position
Prolific is recruiting US-based physicians for remote, freelance, task-based participation in paid research and AI-related projects. Physicians from any medical specialty may apply. Applicants must be registered physicians with a current US medical license and be willing to provide their National Provider Identifier (NPI) for credential verification. Eligible applicants may be invited to join a dedicated Prolific workspace. After credential verification, they may be invited to complete training or a qualification assessment. Physicians who meet project requirements and pass the assessment may be invited to complete project tasks. This is a research participation opportunity, not clinical employment or a salaried physician position. There are no guaranteed hours, task volume, or ongoing work. The indicative rate is US$130 per hour for invited paid screening, with project task rates starting at US$216 per hour. Rates apply to tasks and are not guaranteed earnings. Participants can review each task’s details, estimated time, and confirmed pay before deciding whether to participate. Screening, assessment, project access, and task availability depend on eligibility and project requirements; applying does not guarantee an invitation, acceptance, or paid work. Participants contribute professional medical expertise to research and AI development by completing online tasks remotely and following the instructions and confidentiality requirements provided for each task. Prolific connects researchers and organizations with participants to gather human behavioral data and feedback for developing AI systems.
Requirements
- Currently reside in the United States.
- Be a registered physician with a current US medical license; physicians from any medical specialty may apply.
- Be willing to provide an NPI and complete medical-credential verification during onboarding.
- Be willing to complete required training or a qualification assessment after verification.
- Have access to a computer and reliable internet connection.
- Be able to follow detailed online instructions.
Responsibilities
- Complete expert registration and medical-credential verification through Prolific’s onboarding process.
- Complete an assessment, if invited, to establish suitability for the project.
- If qualified and selected, apply medical expertise to paid research and AI-related tasks as they become available.
- Follow the instructions and confidentiality requirements provided for each task.
