About The Position

Join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Grand Del Mar as our new Pastry Cook lll. This role involves preparing all pastry items while maintaining a high degree of cleanliness in the cooking area. The ideal candidate will be able to read and follow menus and recipes, perform basic mathematical calculations, and work a flexible schedule. Responsibilities include understanding allocated stations for efficient work, preparing banquet and restaurant plated desserts, and general bakery production across two stations.

Requirements

Culinary school preferred.
Minimum 1 year experience.
Must be able to communicate and understand basic English.
Some heavy lifting required.
Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
Performing repetitive hand and wrist movements for chopping, slicing, and stirring.
Applicants must be legally eligible to work the United States.

Responsibilities

Computes basic mathematical calculations.

Complete understanding of allocated stations to work efficiently.
Banquet and restaurant plated desserts.
General bakery production – understanding of 2 stations.
