About The Position

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Grand Del Mar, as our new Pastry Cook lll. The Pastry Cook III prepares all pastry items. This person maintains a high degree of cleanliness throughout the cooking area. Must be able to read and follow menus and recipes and compute basic mathematical calculations. This person must be able to work a flexible schedule. Complete understanding of allocated stations to work efficiently. Responsibilities include banquet and restaurant plated desserts and general bakery production, understanding of 2 stations.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year experience.
Must be able to communicate and understand basic English.
Some heavy lifting required.
Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
Performing repetitive hand and wrist movements for chopping, slicing, and stirring.
Applicants must be legally eligible to work the United States.

Culinary school preferred.
