About The Position

The Pastry Cashier provides customer service and handles cash in a retail store environment. The position involves taking food orders in person and by telephone, following cashier transaction procedures, and supporting other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Food Handlers Card.
• Ability to walk continuously throughout the shift while moving about the store and handling merchandise.
• Ability to stand continuously throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service and retail experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, engage with customers, and improve service speed and efficiency.
• Handle cash and maintain personal cashier productivity.
• Take food orders in person and by telephone.
• Follow procedures for voids, refunds, transaction cancellations, and saved recall transactions.
• Maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions, and food safety.
• Build and maintain positive team relationships and relate well to diverse people.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
