About The Position

RoadRunner is hiring long-term, non-CDL drivers to drive passenger vehicles between local auto auctions, nearby dealerships, and storage lots in the Dallas area. Drivers ride in a company shuttle van with other drivers to and from vehicle pickup and drop-off locations, and follow other vehicles or a chase van. The work is described as suitable for college students, gig workers, seniors, and retirees, and is not temporary or seasonal.

The schedule is Wednesdays at Roadrunner Services at Alliance Auto Auction, 2351 W Northwest Hwy Suite 1232, Dallas, TX 75220. Arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time for check-in and security procedures. Pay is $15 per hour, with a minimum of six hours. The position is listed as 1099 and contract, while the posting also labels its status full-time and its job type part-time. Work may begin once the MVR and drug test are complete.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a good driving record.
• Pass an MVR check, background check, and drug test.
• Be able to get in and out of vehicles repeatedly during the day.
• Be able to see clearly near and far, maintain adequate peripheral vision, perceive depth and motion, and distinguish traffic signals and sounds.
• Have a smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Drive passenger vehicles to and from auto auctions, nearby dealerships, and storage lots.
• Ride in a company shuttle van with other drivers to and from pickup and drop-off locations.
• Follow other vehicles or the chase van in front.
• Follow safe driving procedures.
• Scan vehicles with a smartphone.
• Perform a visual walk-around inspection for damage before driving each vehicle.
• Work as part of a team to provide efficient and safe vehicle pickup and delivery.
