About The Position

The Parts Specialist provides retail and installer customers with a high level of service and supports store management in completing assigned tasks. The role includes assisting customers in person and by phone, handling sales and payment transactions, maintaining merchandise and store displays, completing operational tasks, and performing certain in-store vehicle services after required training and where permitted by law. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; Spanish fluency is highly desired.

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
• Ability to multitask while handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, the Weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish is highly desired.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote company customer service programs, including Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, and Rock the Lot.
• Promptly greet retail and walk-in customers and assist them with merchandise selection.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers as directed.
• Complete company training relevant to the position.
• Answer store calls according to company policy; look up parts and quote prices accurately, recommend premium and related items, and offer the Low-Price Guarantee.
• Maintain and secure the cash drawer; accept cash and checks, make change, and process credit card transactions accurately.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit according to company policies and procedures, and address customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with daily image-maker and planogram updates, freight receiving, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, and cleaning.
• Prepare new, core, and warranty merchandise returns for shipment to the distribution center; assist with monthly stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts.
• Operate a brake lathe and other store test equipment after completing corresponding training and meeting company requirements.
• Perform in-store customer services where allowed by state and local laws, such as installing wipers, testing and charging batteries, testing charging systems, scanning vehicle trouble codes, and replacing headlight capsules.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate, subject to company driving eligibility requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
