About The Position

Pape’ Machinery, Inc. is seeking an experienced, motivated, and customer-oriented Parts Sales Counterperson II to join their team in Portland, OR. The Parts Sales Counterperson II will serve as the primary parts expert for customers needing to maintain and repair their equipment, handling interactions both in person and over the phone. The position involves actively identifying customer needs, recommending parts (including complex or uncommon ones), and utilizing product literature, specialized software, and expert knowledge to provide timely and accurate solutions. The role emphasizes building trust and relationships with clients through a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to finding the best solutions. Requirements

  • 3 or more years of parts counter experience or applicable mechanical/service experience
  • Advanced knowledge of parts inventory.
  • Self-motivation and assertive drive.
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers by telephone and in person to sell company parts and other services.
  • Above-average organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • John Deere parts counter experience is preferred.
