The Parts Sales Counterperson I will serve as the primary parts expert for customers needing to maintain and repair their equipment. Responsibilities include actively engaging with customers to understand their needs, providing recommendations, receiving and shelving stock orders, and maintaining showroom stock levels. The role requires utilizing product literature, specialized software, and growing product knowledge to offer timely and accurate solutions. Success in this role depends on building trust, valuing customer service, and demonstrating a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to finding the best solutions.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work Saturdays during the busy season (generally March – September).
  • Verifiable parts counter experience or applicable mechanical/service experience.
  • Basic knowledge of parts inventory.
  • Self-motivation and assertive drive.
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers by telephone and in person to sell company parts and other services.
  • Above-average organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with customers to identify their needs and provide recommendations.
  • Receive and shelve daily stock orders.
  • Maintain showroom stock levels.
  • Utilize product literature, specialized software systems, and product knowledge to offer timely and accurate solutions.
  • Translate technical details into actionable parts support.
  • Build trust and lasting relationships with clients.
  • Provide parts expertise for customers maintaining and repairing equipment, both face-to-face and over the phone.
