About The Position

The Parts Picker assists with customer service orders for shipping, partnering with the Customer Service Department to pull service parts, package items, and ship them to the correct customers. The role may also involve recording and tracking requests and shipments. The position works Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; overtime may be voluntary or mandatory depending on business needs. The Parts Picker reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• Forklift certification.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility during the work week, as hours may change due to workload.
• Ability to work harmoniously with a diverse range of people.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work efficiently on a team and coordinate with other departments.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds, and frequently bending and stooping.
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• Previous experience working in a highly technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Pack orders securely for UPS and/or FedEx ground shipping.
• Ensure correct shipping information is attached and move completed orders to the shipping area.
• Complete bills of lading (BOLs) for LTL shipments.
• Count and verify parts received from suppliers.
• Place stock in designated locations and enter it properly into a computer.
• Comply with OSHA and other safety regulations.
• Help keep work areas clean, neat, and well-organized.
• Work as a team player, learn other areas, and assist where needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
