About The Position

The Parts Counter Representative supports customers and technicians by providing accurate and timely parts service in a fast-paced fleet and transportation environment. The role handles parts sales, inventory control, order processing, shipping and receiving, and organized department operations while delivering excellent customer service. The position is based in El Cajon and is full-time, with an hourly salary range of $22 to $27 depending on experience. Sonsray is the West Coast's largest Thermo King and CASE dealership, serving the construction, transportation, and agriculture industries through sales, parts, service, rental, and leasing. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
Ability to operate a large pickup truck (¾-ton) with a liftgate.
Ability to operate a forklift to load and unload pallets and when otherwise necessary.
Willingness to occasionally travel to existing customers and prospective client locations.
Follow road signs and operate vehicles within their limits and in consideration of weather conditions during travel.
Comply with auto safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.

Nice To Haves

Three or more years of parts experience in the diesel or transportation industry preferred.
Spanish-speaking ability highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide parts service to mechanics and customers, including answering calls, conducting counter sales, and delivering parts.
Manage parts orders from receipt through filling, packaging, and shipping; maintain and stock inventory and perform physical counts.
Coordinate receipt and staging of units for installation and contribute to related procedures and processes.
Accurately record sales and delivery information.
Maintain general housekeeping standards in the parts department.
Operate a forklift for loading, unloading, and other necessary tasks.
Occasionally travel to customer and prospective client locations, following traffic laws and operating vehicles safely.
Return unused or returned parts to their proper locations and perform basic warehouse upkeep.
Maintain the delivery vehicle through routine checks and by keeping it clean and organized.
Comply with auto safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.
Perform additional duties as directed by management to support dealership objectives.
