About The Position

Allstate Peterbilt Group serves the medium- and heavy-duty truck and trailer industry throughout the Midwest. The Parts Counter Salesperson assists customers and mechanics in securing the parts and supplies they need. The role is also accountable for meeting monthly sales and gross profit forecasts and soliciting parts sales. The position works with customers, mechanics, and outside salespeople to fulfill parts requirements and support customer satisfaction. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Candidates must pass a drug test before beginning employment.

Responsibilities

Assist customers and mechanics in filling parts requirements.
Prepare invoices for over-the-counter sales and house requisitions for parts issued to the shops.
Assist with maintaining stock levels, receiving and shipping parts, and issuing local purchase orders.
Work with outside salespeople to fulfill customers’ parts requirements and maximize customer satisfaction.
Maintain a neat and clean appearance in the customer parts area and parts warehouse.
Update and maintain master parts and price books.
Enter lost sales into the inventory system to help maintain appropriate inventory items and levels.
Prepare information for the Parts Manager about parts that may be needed for inventory.
Operate a terminal console and other equipment to fulfill job duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Work toward monthly sales and gross profit forecasts and solicit parts sales.
