About The Position

Jaguar Land Rover Raleigh, part of Holman, is hiring a Parts Counter Sales Rep. The role helps customers and mechanics identify the correct automotive parts, checks catalogs or computer listings for part numbers and availability, orders parts when needed, and fills orders from stock. The representative also supports telephone orders, customer billing or service orders, inventory activities, and upkeep of the service counter, work area, and stockroom. The position emphasizes exceptional customer and vendor service, product knowledge, and accurate organization of parts and records.

Requirements

• Previous parts advisor experience.
• Understanding of basic automotive components and systems.
• A team-oriented approach focused on exemplary customer service.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Valid in-state driver's license.
• Pass a motor vehicle report and have an acceptable safe driving record.
• Availability for the possibility of one Saturday per month.

Responsibilities

• Determine the type of part needed and help customers or mechanics identify the correct part for the job.
• Use catalogs or computer listings to find replacement part stock numbers and determine availability.
• Order parts when necessary and fill orders from stock.
• Mark, log, and store parts according to the established system.
• Receive and fill telephone orders; prepare customer bills or add parts to service orders as needed.
• Provide exceptional service to customers and vendors.
• Process customer orders and recommend related repair items.
• Develop product knowledge and understanding of vehicle components to assist customers effectively.
• Assist with daily inventory, receiving, stocking, and shipping.
• Help maintain perpetual inventories.
• Maintain a clean and professional service counter, work area, and stockroom.
• Maintain records of time, expenses, and materials.
