About The Position

Q3 Contracting, a division of Primoris Services Corporation, is a publicly owned and operated construction contracting company that provides both specific and turnkey services for its customers in the gas, oil, electric and telecommunications industry. It’s an exciting time to join Q3 Contracting as a PARTS COORDINATOR in our Little Canada, MN shop! As a parts coordinator, you will carry out various administrative and fleet management tasks including parts management, procurement, process implementation, GPS telematics device management, and other systems deployed across Primoris Services Corporation. You will generate, distribute, and follow up on scheduled reports related to parts purchases, inventory, and explanations for program exceptions. The parts coordinator ensures standardization of the parts activities across multiple business units and geographic regions.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow instructions and processes and communicate effectively
  • Have sound knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to be effective and efficient.
  • Must be comfortable and effective working in an environment with changing demands, delays and responding to unexpected situations.
  • Ability to maintain and protect confidential information.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; ability to maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with all customers (internal/external)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in parts sales or auto and equipment sales is preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish skills desired but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the parts ordering, procurement, inventory management, warranty, and distribution of PSC repair parts, shop supplies, and maintenance parts for all business units, field and in shop.
  • Controls all minimum and maximum parts inventory for shop and field locations.
  • Negotiates with the assistance of the National Accounts management, all parts/tire/maintenance contracts with the PSC preferred vendors.
  • Manages the parts warranty process with all vendors and ensures that PSC parts credits and refunds have been collected.
  • Keeps assigned parts room in a clean and manageable order.
  • Ensures that logistical hallenges are met in the field to minimize downtime and efficiencies for PSC field and resident technicians.
  • Oversees training and development of their PSC parts personnel.
  • Management of standardized parts master in Parts Management System. (TBA)
  • Establishment of minimum and maximum parts on and for their inventory.
  • Handles all parts for Techs in the shop or field
