Requirements

  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an automotive parts position, with GM parts experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of automotive systems and parts terminology
  • Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS), electronic parts catalogs, or inventory software
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Assisting customers, technicians, and service advisors in identifying the correct parts and accessories
  • Looking up parts using electronic catalogs and dealership inventory systems
  • Processing parts orders, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently
  • Receiving, unpacking, labeling, stocking, and organizing incoming parts shipments
  • Maintaining accurate inventory and clean, organized storage areas
  • Communicating with vendors regarding parts availability, delivery times, and special orders
  • Accurately documenting parts transactions using the dealership management system (DMS)
  • Supporting the service and sales departments by ensuring parts are available when needed
  • Maintaining current knowledge of parts inventory, pricing, and manufacturer updates
  • Assisting with inventory counts and stocking procedures
  • Performing other duties as assigned to support department and dealership operations
