About The Position

The Pacific Northwest has a serious commercial van market. Contractors, fleet operators, upfitters, and last-mile delivery companies all need parts — and they need a person they can trust to get them fast and right. The Mercedes-Benz Van Center of Vancouver opens in August 2026. It is our first dedicated commercial van and upfitter center, and we are hiring a Parts Advisor who wants to own the external sales territory from day one. There is no inherited book of business. You build it. You will have the brand, the backing, and the systems to do it well. Swickard is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars. Requirements

  • 2+ years of sales or hospitality experience — you know how to build relationships and earn repeat business
  • Comfortable building an account base from scratch — you do not wait for leads to come to you
  • Fast learner with strong attention to detail — accuracy protects customers and keeps the shop moving
  • Organized and accountable — you track your commitments and follow through on every one
  • Clear communicator — phone, email, face-to-face, and with internal teammates
  • A hospitality mindset — your customers are why this place exists, and you act like it

Nice To Haves

  • Dealership, parts, or commercial vehicle experience is a plus — but not required

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop external accounts — fleet operators, upfitters, body shops, and independent repair facilities across the Vancouver and greater Portland metro area
  • Become the go-to parts resource for Sprinter and commercial van upfitter builds — cargo configurations, fleet spec orders, and specialty components
  • Handle parts lookup, quoting, and order management with speed and accuracy
  • Manage special orders and coordinate with vendors to meet customer timelines
  • Track your account activity, fill rate, and sales growth — you know your numbers
  • Partner with the service team and parts manager to keep the whole operation in sync
  • Represent Swickard in the field — professional, prepared, and hospitality-first
