About The Position

The Partnership & Access Liaison (PAL) supports patients and caregivers across two therapeutic areas: Neurological Rare Disease (NRD) and gene therapy for inherited retinal dystrophy. The role splits time equally between the areas and requires navigating their distinct responsibilities and compliance guidelines while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders. For Retina Gene Therapy, the PAL provides national coverage and serves as the primary non-clinical and logistical contact for patients from program enrollment through their treatment journey. The role coordinates travel, lodging, and meals; helps patients select treatment centers; facilitates Benefits Investigation and Prior Authorization processes driven by treatment centers; and educates patients and treatment center staff on payer policies, procedures, the treatment process, and approved support services. For NRD, the PAL floats across geographies to cover patients when geographic PALs are on leave or sabbatical. The role provides on-label education about the product, clinical profile, dosing, and administration; communicates reimbursement programs and resources; helps patients address insurance, pharmacy, and reimbursement challenges; educates customers and partners on payer coverage policies; and supports local advocacy chapters and community engagement. Across both areas, the PAL must comply with applicable laws, company policies and business guidance, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements. The role involves collaboration, documentation of patient interactions in approved tools, team meetings, and maintaining disease-state and product knowledge. This is a field-based role supporting patients across the United States. Candidates must reside in NY, NJ, MA, CT, PA, RI, MD, DE, D.C., VA, NC, SC, GA, or FL, with reasonable access to a major commercial airport. Travel is required, including some overnight stays and weekends, and the role includes significant driving and prolonged sitting. Relocation benefits are not available. The expected salary range is $136,300–$253,100, depending on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors. The position is eligible for incentive compensation and company benefits.
