About The Position

The Partnership & Access Liaison (PAL) supports patients and caregivers across two therapeutic areas, dividing time equally between Neurological Rare Disease (NRD) and gene therapy for inherited retinal dystrophy. For Retina, the role provides national coverage and serves as the primary non-clinical and logistical contact for patients from program enrollment through their treatment journey. For NRD, the PAL provides floating coverage for patients in geographies where local PALs are on leave or sabbatical. Patient engagement needs may vary. The PAL navigates the distinct responsibilities and compliance requirements of each therapeutic area and collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide a supportive experience for patients and providers. This field-based position supports patients across the United States. Candidates must reside in NY, NJ, MA, CT, PA, RI, MD, DE, D.C., VA, NC, SC, GA, or FL and have reasonable access to a major commercial airport. For Retina Gene Therapy, the PAL provides logistical, non-clinical support, coordinates travel, lodging, and meal needs, helps patients identify treatment centers, and facilitates access-related processes led by treatment centers. For NRD, the PAL provides on-label disease and product education, reimbursement navigation, and community and advocacy engagement. Across both areas, the PAL follows applicable laws, company policies and business guidance, HIPAA guidelines, and regulatory requirements; documents patient interactions using approved tools; attends team meetings; and maintains proficiency in disease-state and product knowledge. The position requires a bachelor's degree, clinical experience with patients, bilingual English and Spanish proficiency, and at least five years of field experience in patient services, reimbursement, or pharmaceuticals. Travel is required, with the posting describing travel expectations of up to 60% and approximately 30–50%, including some overnight trips and weekends. Significant driving and prolonged sitting are essential duties. Relocation benefits are not available. The role is eligible for incentive compensation and company benefits.
