Partner Solutions Engineer

Anrok•San Francisco, CA
•$144,000 - $230,000

About The Position

Anrok is seeking a Partner Solutions Engineer to own the technical side of its partner ecosystem. The role builds technical relationships with billing, payments, ERP, accounting, and consulting partners; enables partners to position and integrate Anrok; and helps identify and launch partnerships that expand Anrok’s reach. The Partner Solutions Engineer will become a technical resource for partner engineering and product teams, developing expertise in Anrok’s API, quote-to-cash workflows, and sales tax and VAT. This is an early-stage build role with latitude to shape Anrok’s partner motion. It focuses on reusable technical credibility and resources that help partners sell, integrate, and support Anrok independently, rather than partner account management or handling partner support tickets. The role also equips Anrok’s Sales team to use the partner ecosystem, provides roadmap input to Product and Engineering, and includes some travel for partner onsites and industry events.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Partner Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or a similar partner- or customer-facing technical role.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and integration architecture.
  • Experience working with technology partners, ISVs, or platform ecosystems, including co-solutioning, joint architecture work, or technical enablement at scale.
  • Ability to work effectively with partner engineering and sales teams and Anrok Account Executives.
  • Strong written communication skills and experience creating documentation, demos, reference architectures, or internal enablement materials.
  • Ability to own cross-functional initiatives and earn buy-in from leaders who do not report to you.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with quote-to-cash workflows, billing platforms such as Stripe, Chargebee, Recurly, Zuora, or NetSuite, or indirect tax.
  • Curiosity about quote-to-cash workflows, billing platforms, and indirect tax.

Responsibilities

  • Build durable technical relationships with integration partners, including billing platforms, payment processors, ERPs, and accounting and consulting firms.
  • Provide technical enablement for partners through solution deep-dives, architecture reviews, demo environments, sample code, and reference implementations.
  • Help partners understand Anrok’s capabilities and tax edge cases, and improve existing integrations.
  • Design and launch embedded partnerships that surface Anrok’s tax capabilities inside partner products, working with Product and Engineering on scope and execution.
  • Own the technical lifecycle of prebuilt integrations, building and maintaining them when appropriate and partnering with Engineering to scale them.
  • Equip the Sales team to determine which partners to involve in deals, when to involve them, and for which technical problems; develop repeatable internal enablement.
  • Source and evaluate new partner opportunities, including lead-generation opportunities, and build business cases for connectors and integrations.
  • Represent the partner ecosystem to Product and Engineering by translating partner conversations into roadmap input.
  • Travel for partner onsites and industry events as needed.
