About The Position

The Partner Consultant will build tools for data engineering teams, drawing on strong data and software engineering experience and a solid understanding of metadata and governance systems. The role is responsible for designing features end to end and implementing them. The position can be remote and is a 12-month contract with no possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time employee role. The interview process consists of one coding interview, one system design interview, and one meeting with the hiring manager.

Requirements

12+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems at scale.
Strong programming fundamentals in at least one primary language, such as Python, TypeScript, or Java.
Working understanding of distributed-systems trade-offs involving consistency, latency, and cost at scale.
Production experience with AWS or a comparable cloud, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment workflows for services running at scale.
Experience working within data and software engineering.
Solid understanding of metadata and governance systems.
Experience using AI tools such as Bedrock or Cortex AI.

Nice To Haves

Experience building internet-scale platforms, including high-throughput ingestion, multi-region systems, or low-latency serving.
Hands-on production experience with several of Airflow, Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake, including tuning and operating them.
Familiarity with search or graph systems such as OpenSearch and Neptune, and API frameworks such as GraphQL.
Experience with data catalog platforms such as Acryl DataHub or Alation, data governance, and PII handling.
Background in knowledge graph systems and graph algorithms.
