About The Position

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach CEG3536: Architecture d'ordinateurs II (Computer Architecture II) during the 2026 Fall Semester. This course covers microprocessors and their general architecture, CISC and RISC architectures, microcontrollers, embedded systems, microprocessor-based computer design, and an introduction to hardware-software co-design. The course will be delivered in person on the Main Campus. The professor is expected to attend tutorials for at least one hour per week on average, with the contract including 52 hours of work. Requirements

Excellent knowledge of the course content, demonstrated by teaching similar courses or relevant employment experience.
Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer.
Regular applicants must have obtained a doctorate, preferably in a field relevant to the course subject matter, especially for specialized courses, or have relevant work experience after obtaining their doctorate.
Include professional license number and province of obtention in the application.
Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
