About The Position

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Part-time Professor for the Fall 2026 semester to teach Computer Architecture II (CEG3136A). This course covers microprocessors, CISC and RISC architectures, microcontrollers, embedded systems, computer design using microprocessors, and an introduction to computer hardware-software codesign. The position is limited to Regular Part-Time Professors and requires excellent knowledge of the subject matter, demonstrated teaching or work experience, and licensure as a Professional Engineer. The contract includes payment for 52 hours, which accounts for mandatory tutorial attendance. The course will be delivered in person.

Requirements

• Doctorate in a field related to the course, or relevant work experience in a field related to the course after obtaining a Ph.D.
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer.
• Excellent knowledge of course subject matter, demonstrated by having taught similar or related courses, or demonstrated by relevant work experience.
• P.Eng. License number and province of registration.
