About The Position

Great Lakes Wine & Spirits is seeking a Part-Time Merchandiser for its Retail Chain Sales Division. This role will service multiple accounts in and around Royal Oak, Birmingham, and Downriver. The Merchandiser is responsible for timely stocking and product handling of all GLWAS merchandise in assigned retail accounts. This includes ensuring effective placement of shelf products and in-store displays, assessing display effectiveness, and maintaining a professional demeanor. The position also involves building displays, managing product conditions, addressing out-of-stocks with management, and territory management according to plan, utilizing reports and forms, and daily communication with a manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Basic competency with basic iOS devices.
  • A valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required.
  • Adherence to policies and procedures outlined in the employee policy manual and any applicable contracts, signed agreements, and work rules.
  • Cooperation with all management and staff of GLWAS.
  • Following all MLCC rules and regulations, as they apply to the position.
  • Use alcohol in a responsible manner when related to business activities.
  • Consent to the company's screening of your driving record.
  • Completed satisfactory pre-employment screenings including a background check on a criminal record, physical evaluation, agility (lift) test, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Timely stocking and product handling of all GLWAS merchandise shipped to assigned retail accounts stores.
  • Working with store level personnel to ensure effective placement of shelf products and in-store displays.
  • Assessing the effectiveness of different product displays and display locations.
  • Demonstrating a professional demeanor by dressing and grooming in a professional manner.
  • Keeping vehicle clean, organized with adequate P.O.S. and other sales materials.
  • Building displays.
  • Managing GLWAS product conditions within the store.
  • Working with GLWAS District Managers and Area Managers to address product out of stocks.
  • Correctly running workday according to plan.
  • Maintaining and using reports, forms, and pre-plans.
  • Communicating on a daily basis with Manager.
