About The Position

Portland Community College (PCC) is seeking applicants for a Part-Time Faculty Interest Pool in History. This pool is used to identify potential candidates for part-time faculty assignments, including substitute and full-term class roles, as the need arises during the academic year. Requirements

Master’s degree in History.
For specialty courses: Master’s degree in a related area (e.g., American Studies, Ethnic Studies, Russian and Eastern European Studies, Latin American Studies, Women’s Studies, Black Studies, American Indian Studies, or Holocaust and Genocide Studies).
Thirty (30) quarter graduate credits in History.
Ability to establish residence in Oregon or Washington.
Official transcripts required within 2 weeks of offer date for required degrees.
Academic credentials must be from a regionally accredited US institution or a foreign institution with equivalent accreditation.
For foreign credentials, transcripts must be evaluated by an agency in good standing with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.

Responsibilities

Teach assigned History courses, which may include substitute or full-term assignments.
Develop and deliver course content aligned with PCC's History program standards.
Engage with students in a collaborative and inspiring campus community.
