About The Position

Portland Community College is accepting applications to be considered for Part-Time Faculty assignments in Art History. This is an interest pool, not an announcement of a specific open position. The department will review applications as the need arises for new part-time faculty. Applications may be considered for substitute or full-term class assignments. The college is the largest post-secondary institution in Oregon, serving approximately 80,000 students across four campuses, training centers, and community locations, with a mission to make high-quality education accessible and contribute to economic development.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Art History OR Master’s or PhD degree in a related field (Arts, Humanities, or Social Sciences) AND 30 graduate quarter credits in Art History.
  • Ability to establish residence in Oregon or Washington.
  • Official transcripts required within 2 weeks of offer date for required degrees.
  • Academic credentials must be from a regionally accredited US institution or a foreign institution with equivalent accreditation.
  • Transcripts from foreign institutions will be evaluated by agencies in good standing with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.

  • Ability to list current PCC courses that you would be able to teach.
