About The Position

Portland Community College is accepting applications for a Part-Time Faculty Interest Pool in the Art Department. This pool is used to identify applicants for part-time faculty assignments, including substitute and full-term class assignments, as the need arises during the academic year. Requirements

  • Master of Fine Arts in Visual or Studio Art is required.
  • Must reside in Oregon or Washington.
  • Must be able to establish residence in Oregon or Washington.
  • Official transcripts are required to be submitted within 2 weeks of offer date for degrees required in the stated Instructor Qualifications.
  • Instructors shall have earned required academic credentials at a regionally accredited US institution or a foreign institution having the equivalent of regional accreditation.
  • Instructors with credentials from other countries will have their transcripts evaluated by agencies that have good standing with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services to establish fulfillment of this standard.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to teach specific PCC art courses (applicants will be asked to list these).
