About The Position

Seeking an instructor for the Professional Pilot degree program to teach AER 4040 - Corporate Aviation & Career Preparation, beginning August 2026. This course provides students with a broad perspective on aviation jobs, focusing on the culture and operational differences across various aviation businesses (airline, charter, corporate, fractional, owner-flown). Students will learn job application processes, networking, resume creation, interview skills, and how to navigate ethical dilemmas and pressure to compromise safety, values, or income. The instructor will manage student progress in Canvas and prepare curriculum and course activities. This is a three-credit course that meets once per week.

Requirements

  • Experience in the aviation industry.
  • Ability to teach students about job application processes, networking, resume creation, and interview skills.
  • Knowledge of ethical dilemmas in aviation careers.
  • Ability to guide students on responding to pressure to compromise safety, personal values, or income.
  • Proficiency in managing student progress in Canvas.
  • Ability to prepare curriculum and course activities.
