About The Position
Portland Community College (PCC) is seeking applicants for a Part-Time Faculty Interest Pool in the Electronic Engineering Technology Department at the Sylvania Campus. This pool is for potential future course assignments, including substitute and full-term classes, as the need arises during the academic year. PCC is the largest post-secondary institution in Oregon, committed to making high-quality education accessible and contributing to community economic development. The Electronic Engineering Technology program offers degrees and certificates, and the department is looking for instructors with a strong combination of education and industrial experience in electrical/electronic engineering fields. Requirements
- Master's degree in electrical/electronic engineering.
- Three (3) years of full-time, industrial work experience in the electrical/electronic engineering field.
- Ability to establish residence in Oregon or Washington.
- Official transcripts required within 2 weeks of offer date for required degrees.
- Academic credentials must be from a regionally accredited US institution or a foreign institution with equivalent accreditation.
- Transcripts from foreign institutions will be evaluated by agencies in good standing with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
Nice To Haves
- Instructors may also qualify with a Master's degree in a related field, a Bachelor's degree or an Associates' degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field, or through demonstrated competency. (Refer to full EET Instructor Qualifications page for specifics).
Responsibilities
- Teach Electronic Engineering Technology courses.
- Potentially teach substitute assignments or full-term class assignments.
- List current PCC courses that you would be able to teach as part of the application.
