About The Position

Portland Community College is accepting applications for Part-Time Faculty assignments in Dealer Service Technology at the Rock Creek Campus. The Department will review applications in this pool as the need arises for new part-time faculty in this area throughout the academic year. Your application may be considered for substitute assignments as well as full term class assignments. Requirements

Five years recent diesel service experience required.
Caterpillar Specific certification in all areas of instruction is required within the first year of hire for full time faculty.
Official transcripts are required to be submitted within 2 weeks of offer date for degrees required in the stated Instructor Qualifications.
Instructors shall have earned required academic credentials at a regionally accredited US institution or a foreign institution having the equivalent of regional accreditation.
Instructors with credentials from other countries will have their transcripts evaluated by agencies that have good standing with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services to establish fulfillment of this standard.

Nice To Haves

AAS or Bachelors Degree (or higher) in diesel service or a field appropriate to diesel service is preferred but not required.
Recent experience teaching at the college level or industry trainer experience or a combination of full-time equivalent teaching at the college level and industry trainer experience may be substituted, year for year, for recent diesel service experience.
