About The Position

St. Luke's Methodist Church is seeking Part-Time Drivers for its Meals on Wheels Program at the Downtown and Asbury Campuses. The role involves assisting in the preparation and packing of hot, nutritious lunch meals Monday through Friday, and then delivering them directly to the homes of senior citizens using your own vehicle. The hours are from 9:30 a.m. until approximately 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, operating from the St. Luke's Meals on Wheels kitchen at 1320 SW 38th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73119.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass an Oklahoma State required background check.
• Must be able to download and comfortably use technology, including computers, smartphones, applications and online maps, without assistance.
• Must be able to bend, kneel and climb steps and stairs.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Pick up meals daily at the Asbury Campus location and deliver them directly to the homes of senior adult clients.
• Clean out and return insulated boxes or bags at the start of the next shift.
• Portion food into trays to be sealed, then sort them into bags for delivery.
• Treat each client with dignity and respect.
• Maintain professional conduct while working with clients and staff, as well as visitors and the general public.
