About The Position

As an entry-level team member on Meijer’s Courtesy Team, you will perform a variety of retail tasks related to store services, products, and customer service. The role involves interacting with customers and providing service that goes above and beyond. Duties include retrieving carts, maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the store, assisting with perishable and salvage returns, and working in several store areas and departments. Other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

Be highly organized with a keen sense for details.
Have great listening and communication skills.
Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product or using various equipment.
Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
Handle perishable and salvage returns.
Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
Work with the Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
