The Office of State Parks serves Louisiana residents and visitors by preserving and interpreting exceptional natural and historic sites, providing outdoor recreation opportunities, and administering programs related to outdoor recreation and trails. This position is based at Rosedown Plantation State Historic Site in St. Francisville, Louisiana. The Park Manager B supervises, coordinates, and directs professional and non-professional staff responsible for the site’s daily operations, administration, construction, and maintenance. The position manages site facilities, programming, expenditures, budgets, revenues, reporting, projects, and personnel. It coordinates maintenance and construction with agency staff, contractors, law enforcement, community groups, and outside agencies; directs subordinate employees; and supports staff development and training. The position works a rotating 40-hour week to ensure park coverage. The site is open every day except three major holidays, and the schedule may include weekends and holidays. Daily driving around the park is required, and travel to other state parks may be needed to assist with staffing or events. A state vehicle is available for use while on duty.
