About The Position

The Park Appearance Technician provides overnight cleaning and support for Dollywood Theme Park in a manner consistent with The Dollywood Company’s mission and values. The role includes maintaining roadways and pedestrian walkways, collecting reusable and recyclable materials, learning to operate company motor vehicles, and developing timetables for assigned areas so that tasks are completed on time. The position is full-time and year-round.

The successful candidate contributes to a safe, welcoming environment for guests and hosts, and reflects Dollywood’s culture through qualities such as patience, kindness, trustworthiness, dedication, and accountability. The role requires dependable attendance, flexibility for assigned schedules and required overtime, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Duties may be changed or added by management.

Requirements

• At least one year of work experience demonstrating successful performance of similar duties and responsibilities in a commercial or industrial environment.
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance, and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to prioritize and complete work assignments on time.
• Able to maintain dependable attendance and flexibility with assigned schedules, including required overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to perform work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes in priorities.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, conflict-management, and interpersonal skills; able to communicate with guests and hosts using approved methods.
• Able to comprehend instructions and retain information.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic accurately, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Professional appearance and good personal hygiene; friendly, caring, and guest-focused demeanor.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise judgment regarding privileged information.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and carrying up to 50–100 pounds, intermittent or prolonged sitting, standing, or walking for up to 13 hours, repetitive movements, and working in varying weather, including extreme cold and heat.
• Satisfactory completion of a background screening, including criminal history, is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities
