About The Position

Seneca is seeking a compassionate Parent Partner to provide peer support and advocacy for youth and families receiving services. The Parent Partner uses lived experience to help families navigate challenges, access resources, build confidence, and remain engaged in their care. Support is provided through one-on-one interactions, group facilitation, and collaboration with care teams. The role serves Seneca’s San Luis Obispo Wraparound program, which supports youth and families experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges at home. The program is strengths-based, family-driven, flexible, and creative, with the goal of helping families develop skills and supports that prevent or reduce the possibility of a child’s out-of-home placement. A family-based team addresses the needs of the entire family and may include family members, Seneca therapists, youth counselors, Parent Partners, facilitators, and community members. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a hybrid, client-driven schedule. It includes providing in-person services and completing documentation remotely. Voluntary on-call shifts are available, and on-call rotation may be required where applicable to program requirements.
