About The Position

Transit Team, Inc. is hiring a Weekend Shift Paratransit Driver in Maple Grove, Minnesota, to provide safe, reliable transportation to passengers who depend on paratransit services. The role involves operating a Metro Mobility vehicle, assisting passengers as needed, and maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional environment. Schedules are available Friday through Monday, either 7:00 AM–5:00 PM or 8:00 PM–6:00 AM, and may vary according to route and operational needs. The position pays $23.00 per hour.

Paid training is provided, including for candidates without a CDL. Transit Team describes its workplace as having an open-door culture in which team members are seen, heard, supported, and valued. Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Minnesota driver's license and at least one year of driving experience.
• Safe and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to pass a background check and a 5-panel drug screen.
• Ability to complete and pass a DOT physical.
• Ability to safely perform essential job duties, including walking, bending, sitting, standing, and assisting passengers as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the Twin Cities metropolitan area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Metro Mobility vehicle.
• Provide outstanding customer service to passengers.
• Assist riders entering and exiting the vehicle when needed.
• Safely secure mobility devices and wheelchairs.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all passengers.
