About The Position

Transit Team, Inc. is hiring a Paratransit Driver to operate a Metro Mobility vehicle and provide safe, reliable transportation to passengers in the Burnsville, Minnesota area. Drivers provide customer service, assist passengers as needed, secure mobility devices and wheelchairs, follow routes and schedules, inspect vehicles, and maintain a safe and respectful environment. Paid training is provided, including for candidates without a CDL. The role is presented as a weekend shift, with a listed schedule of Friday through Monday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM; schedules may vary based on route and operational needs. Transit Team is part of Beacon Mobility and provides paratransit service to elderly people and people with disabilities across the Twin Cities metropolitan area.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Minnesota driver's license with at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Safe and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to pass a background check and 5-panel drug screen.
• Ability to complete and pass a DOT physical.
• Ability to safely perform the essential duties of the position, including walking, bending, sitting, standing, and assisting passengers as needed.

• Familiarity with the Twin Cities metro area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Metro Mobility vehicle.
• Provide outstanding customer service to passengers.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
