About The Position

Transit Team, Inc. is hiring a Paratransit Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for Metro Mobility passengers in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Drivers help passengers with mobility needs travel safely and independently, providing respectful, professional service throughout each ride. Paid training is provided, and a CDL is not required to apply.

Available schedules are Friday through Monday, either 12:00 PM–10:00 PM or 1:30 PM–11:30 PM. Schedules may vary based on route and operational needs. Pay is $23.00 per hour. Transit Team describes itself as Minnesota’s largest paratransit provider and says it has served elderly people and people with disabilities across the Twin Cities metropolitan area for more than 65 years.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Minnesota driver’s license and at least one year of driving experience.
• Safe and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to pass a background check and 5-panel drug screen.
• Ability to complete and pass a DOT physical.
• Ability to safely perform the essential duties of the position, including walking, bending, sitting, standing, and assisting passengers as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the Twin Cities metropolitan area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Metro Mobility vehicle.
• Provide outstanding customer service to passengers.
• Assist riders entering and exiting the vehicle when needed.
• Secure mobility devices and wheelchairs safely.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all passengers.
