About The Position

Transit Team, Inc. is hiring a weekday Paratransit Driver in Burnsville, Minnesota, to operate Metro Mobility vehicles and help provide safe, reliable transportation to passengers, including elderly people and people with disabilities. Drivers support passenger independence and mobility while delivering respectful, professional customer service.

The available schedules are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, either 6:30 AM–4:30 PM or 7:30 AM–5:30 PM. Schedules may vary based on routes and operational needs. Pay is $24.00 per hour. No CDL is required to start; paid training is provided.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Minnesota driver's license and at least one year of driving experience.
• Safe and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to pass a background check and a 5-panel drug screen.
• Ability to complete and pass a DOT physical.
• Ability to safely perform essential duties, including walking, bending, sitting, standing, and assisting passengers as needed.

• Familiarity with the Twin Cities metropolitan area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Metro Mobility vehicle.
• Provide outstanding customer service to passengers.
• Assist riders entering and exiting the vehicle when needed.
• Secure mobility devices and wheelchairs safely.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all passengers.
